Discovery & Systems Review
DATA³ worked with Be the Business worked with Be the Business through an initial Discovery to review their existing data and technology landscape. The technology landscape had become over complex and filled with legacy projects.
Following the Discovery phase, DATA³ completed a deep-dive analysis to determine the current usage and monthly cost, of every data-related service within AWS and Azure. Consideration was given to value vs. cost to create a priority order for decommissioning specific AWS & Azure services. This included the backup of systems and databases and archiving data into ‘cold storage’.
In total, DATA³ helped reduce Be the Business’ ongoing AWS and Azure spend by over £5,600 per month, a significant saving for the business that can now be re-invested elsewhere.
It also simplified the data and technology landscape by reducing the required effort to maintain services in AWS & Azure, and reduced the time required for any new technical staff to get up to speed on Be the Business’ tech stack.
