Our commitment to the principles of the Modern Slavery Act 2015
Data Cubed is committed to the principles of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and the abolition of modern slavery and human trafficking.

The following is the process by which we assess whether particular activities or countries are high risk in relation to modern slavery or human trafficking:

  1. Recognise instances of modern slavery by guiding employees to understand what modern slavery is, where the risk can arise and how to report suspicions of modern slavery.
  2. Preventing modern slavery within the organisation. As we are an equal opportunities employer, we’re committed to creating and ensuring a non-discriminatory and respectful working environment for our staff. We want all our staff to feel confident that they can expose wrongdoing without any risk to themselves. Our recruitment and people management processes are designed to ensure that all prospective employees are legally entitled to work in the UK and to safeguard employees from any abuse or coercion.
  3. Perform due diligence on organisations we chose to work with as we do not enter into business with any organisation, in the UK or worldwide, which knowingly supports or is found to be involved in slavery, servitude and forced or compulsory labour.
    Training

We conduct training for all employees as part of induction process so that they understand the signs of modern slavery and what to do if they suspect that it is taking place within our supply chain.

Our policies
We operate a number of internal policies to ensure that we are conducting business in an ethical and transparent manner. These include:

  • Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking policy. This policy sets out the organisation’s stance on modern slavery and explains how employees can identify any instances of this and where they can go for help.
  • Equal opportunities and Diversity policy. We operate a robust recruitment policy, including conducting eligibility to work in the UK checks for all employees to safeguard against human trafficking or individuals being forced to work against their will.
  • Whistleblowing policy. We operate a clear whistleblowing policy so that all employees know that theycan raise concerns about how colleagues are being treated, or practices within our business or supply chain, without fear of reprisal
  • Code of ethics policy. (Our Values; respect for others, justice, integrity and honesty, Lawfulness, competence and accountability, and teamwork). This code explains the manner in which we behave as an organisation and how we expect our employees and suppliers to act.

Due Diligence Processes for Slavery and Human Trafficking
The company undertakes due diligence when considering taking on new suppliers, and regularly reviews its existing suppliers. The Company’s due diligence process include building long-standing relationships with suppliers and making clear our expectations of business partners and evaluating the modern slavery and human trafficking risks of each new supplier and invoking sanctions against suppliers that fail to improve their performance in line with an action plan provided by us, including the termination of the business relationship.
